Haworth is a small town in Yorkshire, England, which has become famous for its connection with the Brontë sisters who wrote many of their books here. It is located within a few miles of Oxenhope, Oldfield, Oakworth, Keighley, Pecket Well, and Allerton and is one of over 200 towns and villages in Yorkshire in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest cities are Leeds (population 443,247), Manchester (population 394,269), and Ripon (which has a population of 16,468 according to the 2001 Census).
The attractive town, with its stone buildings, and winding streets, surrounded by the Yorkshire countryside, has become very popular with visitors, partly for the preserved railway, but most especially because Haworth was longtime the home of the Brontë sisters who wrote many of their novels whilst living in Haworth Parsonage. The inspiration for their books can be seen all around, particularly in the dramatic and scenic countryside nearby.
